Iraanse militie: 'Over vernietiging van Israël valt niet te onderhandelen'
Wat zijn het ook een lieve jongens, die Iraniërs.
De onderhandelingen met Iran verlopen fantastisch, maar niet heus. De deal die waarschijnlijk pas in juni (in plaats van uiterlijk vandaag) wordt gesloten met de schurkenstaat is misschien een leuke afsluiter voor het presidentschap van Barack Obama, maar voor de rest is het een bijzonder slecht idee om een deal te sluiten met het radicaal-islamitische land dat Israël en de Verenigde Staten wekelijks zweert te zullen vernietigen.
Dat Iran niet kan wachten om Israël van de kaart vegen blijkt wel. Nu zegt de baas van de Iraanse vrijwillige Basij-militie (onderdeel van de Iraanse Revolutionaire Garde) Mohammad Reza Naqdi, dat de vernietiging van Israël "ononderhandelbaar" is. Jawel. Via Times of Israel:
The commander of the Basij militia of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said that “erasing Israel off the map” is “nonnegotiable,” according to an Israel Radio report Tuesday. (...) Naqdi’s comments were made public as Iran and six world powers prepared Tuesday to issue a general statement agreeing to continue nuclear negotiations in a new phase aimed at reaching a comprehensive accord by the end of June.
De reactie van premier Netanyahu over de aanstaande deal met Iran is zo helder als wat: als Iran ondergrondse installaties mag houden en de nucleaire reactor in Arak plus geavanceerde centrifuges mag blijven gebruiken, dan is dat een heel slechte deal. Citaat:
"The greatest threat to our security and to our future was and remains Iran's effort to arm itself with nuclear weapons. The agreement being formulated in Lausanne paves the way to this outcome. It seems that it will leave in Iran's possession underground installations, the nuclear reactor at Arak and advanced centrifuges, the same things that only a few months ago we were told – and rightly so – were not essential to a nuclear program designed for peaceful purposes. Iran's breakout time for achieving fissile material for nuclear bombs will not be measured in years, as was said at the outset; in our assessment the time has been reduced to less than a year, probably much less. And all of this is before taking into account the ballistic missiles that Iran is continuing to manufacture, the ongoing development of advanced centrifuges, Iran's obdurate refusal to reveal to the IAEA its activities to develop nuclear weapons and, I add, Iran's campaign of conquest and terrorism – which is open to all, everyone sees it, before our very eyes – from the Golan Heights to Yemen, from Iraq to Gaza and so many other places."
Als Iran een kernbom in een mum van tijd een kernbom kan bouwen, dan verschuift de balans in het Midden-Oosten in het voordeel van Iran. Dat gaat hoe dan ook ten koste van de veiligheid van Israël, want dat land moet, ik herhaal het nog maar een keer, van de kaart worden geveegd volgens Iran. Dat is precies de reden waarom de Hamas in de Gazastrook en de Westbank en Hezbollah in Libanon bewapenen met steeds meer raketten.
Iran moet niet nog machtiger worden. De schurkenstaat zou juist aan macht moeten inboeten. Dat zou het beste zijn voor zowel de regio (meer specifiek: Israël) als de hele wereld.
