Waar mensen zich zoal druk om maken

This year, for me, it’s all about the Dutch entry, Anouk Teeuwe, who performs in tonight’s opening semi-final. Imagine Adele stepping up to the plate for Britain and that’s where we are with Teeuwe. She’s been a star in her homeland since 1997 and her beautiful, sweetly downbeat Birds is a delicious taster for new album Sad Singalong Songs, released to coincide with the contest.

Her producer, Tore Johansson, has ruffled a few feathers by admitting on Twitter that Birds is too good to win Eurovision. He’s probably right. However, the exposure for the album – and Teeuwe – will be priceless. I’ll be adding her to my list of favourites. When you ooze class, who cares about douze points?

Anatilia Mestre: actually Adele sounds like Anouk! Anouk has been around longer than Adele! sorry but had to say that lol.. by the way I also love the eurovision song contest!

Jessica Janssen: are you mad!!!! adele is great make no mistake but anouk is unique and if you knew here other songs you would NOT compare her with anouk !!! idiots!!!
