Israël wacht op nieuwe president
Terecht.
Dat krijg je inderdaad als Amerika een president heeft gekozen die weinig met Israël heeft:

The reason is that he can rely on the firmness of Israeli support in Congress, even if he doesn't have the White House's full approval for his policies. The prime minister thinks he can simply wait out the current administration, they say.
Het confllict tussen Israël en Gaza blijft nog wel even voortduren. Er is geen enkele reden om je te haasten als je Netanyahu bent; wacht gewoon rustig af tot er een nieuwe regering zit. Vervolgens kun je daar prima zaken mee doen.
Obama heeft zijn hand overspeeld. Hij dacht echt dat Amerika Israëls baas is; in de samenzweringstheorieën van islamisten is dat zo, maar in werkelijkheid heeft Israël gewoon een eigen mening.
